Rental Terms and Conditions

Drivers must be 25 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

No smoking or pets allowed in motorhomes. 

A 3 night minimum is required on all of our units. A longer minimum may be required for holidays and special events.  A 2 day advanced notice is required on all units. No same day bookings. 

All of our units require a $500 reservation deposit at the time of booking. The balance of the rental plus the security deposit is due at pick up. 

Cancellation Policy: If cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the start of the rental $100 is forfeited. If cancellation is made less than 60 days prior to the start of the rental dates, the entire rental deposit will be forfeited. Special events may have different terms.

Rental days are counted as nights (just as hotel rooms). All of our pick-ups and returns are done by appointment. Pick-ups are after 4 pm on the day of departure. Returns are before 12 noon on the return day.  We try to adjust to meet any specific request of our customers.

We can provide delivery and/or pick-up to a specific location, call for quote.

Travel trailers require a 2 5/16 ball on the tow vehicle. Tow vehicles are required to have electric trailer brakes installed. Louisiana law requires this on any vehicle towing a trailer weighing more than 3500lbs.  It is up to the renter to determine if their vehicle will safely tow the trailer not Gulf Coast RV Rentals. We do not install electric brakes. All brakes and light hookups are to be installed and working before picking up rental. No refunds will be given for improper equipment.

Additional Charges that may be applicable:

Tax is 10% of the base rental rate.

Security Deposit - $750 on motorhomes , $500 on travel trailers - fully refunded within 72 hours of return if unit is in same condition as when it left

Mileage charge - 100 miles free a day, additional miles are $.32 a mile for the next 500 during rental and $.79 a mile for anything over that.

Cleaning charge- If coach is not returned clean both interior and exterior a minimum $50 charge

Dumping charge-$35 if holding tanks for sewer are not emptied upon return

One-way rental-  $2.00 a mile if dropped off or picked up at a major airport.

Delivery of motorhome or travel trailer outside of Baton Rouge area is $2.00 a mile. 

Insurance requirements on units:  

Travel Trailers - The vehicle being used to tow the trailer must have full coverage insurance. The liability from this vehicle will cover the trailer. We only provide collision and comprehensive insurance. 

Class A and Class C motorhomes require insurance to be provided in 1 of 2 ways:

-         Renter can get an insurance binder through their personal auto insurance carrier, most insurance companies do not charge for this. This is just an extension of the current policy stating the RV will be covered for the trip. We have a letter that we will fax the renter’s company requesting a binder for the rental period.

       -   The second option is to purchase insurance through our commercial insurance carrier (MBA insurance) for $20 a day
